About the Early Childhood Resilience Grant
HCDVCC’s Early Childhood Resilience Grant is designed to strengthen programs that build resilience in children affected by domestic violence. By providing critical funding to innovative community initiatives, HCDVCC aims to break the cycle of violence and foster safe, supportive environments for young children. The grant is in partnership with the Harris County Department of Economic Equity and Opportunity Early Childhood Initiatives division. The Harris County Early Childhood Initiatives (ECI) division, established in 2022 with American Rescue Plan Act funds, collaborates with community partners to enhance early childhood programming. Its focus spans five key areas: affordable childcare, workforce development for educators, equitable opportunities for vulnerable populations, parent education, and data-driven insights. ECI’s efforts aim to promote healthy development and equitable access to resources for young children and their families.
