HCDVCC’s Early Childhood Resilience Grant is designed to strengthen programs that build resilience in children affected by domestic violence. About Our Speaker:
Katisha Chaney, LMSW, LCDC-I (Intern), is a dedicated mental health professional and Project Manager with a passion for advancing early childhood well-being through strategic programming and trauma-informed care. A graduate of the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work, Katisha brings over six years of experience in the domestic violence field and a diverse professional background spanning non-profit, medical, and educational settings.
In her current role, she oversees the Early Childhood Resiliency Fund, where she integrates her expertise in youth mental health, community-based interventions, and systemic advocacy to support children and families affected by trauma. As a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Group Facilitator, she also works directly with youth to cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and coping strategies.
